A police escort of two motorcycles was riding with the team to the field when the officers' cycles unexpectedly collided.</p><p><blockquote>According to Washington D.C. police, both officers sustained minor injuries in the accident. The officers were treated in a nearby hospital for their injuries and released a short time thereafter. The reason for the accident was not made immediately clear.</blockquote></p><p>A spokesman for the Arizona Cardinals, Mark Dalton, stated that none of the team members on the buses actually witnessed the accident.
